The basic cake part is what she used for all of her homemade poke cakes
  1. Beat sugar and crisco add eggs and beat.
  2. Add flour and milk and vanilla and beat 1-2 minutes. .
  3. Spread 1/2 of this into a greased and floured 9×13 pan
  4. Sprinkle filling mixture evenly on cake Pour and spread the rest of the batter on the filling.
  5. Swirl with a knife
  6. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes
  7. Heat milk, butter, sugar, and vanilla. Pour over warm cake.
